Imaan Taghavi is a master’s of Environmental Health Engineering, a cancer survivor, and the founder of The Omni Movement, an international social movement focused on dance as an accessible means of expression and creativity. As a blogger Imaan wrote openly about his experience enduring and recovering from a lung cancer diagnosis that somewhat baffled medical professionals as Imaan is a young, healthy never-smoker. We talk about the lessons he learned throughout the process, from facing mortality head-on to setting aside his pride and ego to allow others to care for him when he couldn’t care for himself.
